“TSA’s broadcast production unit goes global and hits new content output high”
The month of January brought a significant new milestone for Total Sports Asia (TSA) in the area of broadcast production.
The agency was kept on its toes overseeing the simultaneous production and delivery of five live events across its core sports of Badminton (BWF Super Series), Table Tennis (ITTF Pro Tour) and Squash (PSA World Tour) with the BWF Super Series events in Kuala Lumpur the Proton Malaysian Open and in Seoul with the Victor Korea Open. In addition, TSA delivered the ITTF’s Pro Tour Slovenian Open and the English Open from Sheffield while simultaneously delivering the PSA Tournament of Champions from New York.
In total, TSA produced over 66 hours of Live coverage from these five events held over thirteen actual days and the signals were delivered to 21 different clients around the world with total reach of homes for BWF of 255 million, ITTF 390 million and PSA of 114 million.
Marcus Luer, Group CEO TSA said: “Being involved in production, satellite coordination and distribution of three major racket sport Tours around the world is a great achievement for our production team and the company as a whole. There is a clear focus and plenty of synergy across these sports for us and we will continue to build on this platform.
Luer added: “The first month alone has already taken us into three different continents and by the end of the year we would have delivered content from every corner of the world to the rest of the world. “
The next events on TSA’s Production calendar in February are the ITTF Pro Tour events in Qatar and Kuwait, the PSA North American Open from Virginia, USA and the BWF Yonex All England Open from London.
